A Caring Response

A Caring Response addresses the financial and social aspects of caring for foster children. Often it is not economically feasible for foster parents to take all their children to the swimming pool or pumpkin patch. So A Caring Response provides fun social activities and material support to enrich the foster children’s lives. Some examples:

  • 175 Back-to-School backpacks filled with school supplies (2008-2009)
  • 75 foster children at the Lone Pine Farms pumpkin patch party (2008-2009)
  • 60 Thanksgiving dinner food baskets, complete with turkeys (2008-2009)
  • Approximately 650 foster family members at the holiday party at the Regional Sports Center (2008-2009)
  • Over 1,000 diapers collected and distributed with diaper bags and formula (2007-2008)
  • Approximately 200 foster children and foster family members at the Spring Break pool party at Splash! (2007-2008)
